Hai Phong, September 12, 2023 – In a remarkable feat of maritime logistics, the vessel HUA RUI LONG accomplished a successful cargo operation at the Lan Ha anchorage in Hai Phong. On September 7, 2023, the HUA RUI LONG arrived at the Lan Ha anchorage to receive two oil tankers from Wolverine Terminals, a prominent Canadian company.
M.V. HUA RUI LONG is a semi-submersible vessel owned by Guangzhou Salvage, with an impressive overall length of 252.00 meters, a breadth of 60.00 meters, and a deadweight of 82,000 metric tons. It was constructed in 2022 in Nantong, China.
This intricate transportation project involved multiple stakeholders, with Seaway7 taking the lead. The collaboration included various entities such as Tan Cang Marine Services, Pilot2 Co, Dolphin Logistics Co., LTD, Damen, Song Cam Shipyard, and 189 Shipyard, among others.
The two oil tankers, WOLVERINE SPIRIT 1 and WOLVERINE SPIRIT 2 are products of Damen, in a partnership with Song Cam Shipyard, and 189 Shipyard.
On September 8, 2023, after meticulous preparations, the two oil tankers were securely positioned on the HUA RUI LONG using the Float on – Float off method, ready for lashing and securing.
Subsequently, on September 11, 2023, the Certificate of Approval (COA) was issued by the Marine Warranty Surveyor, signifying the completion of the final preparations for the next leg of the journey.
On September 12, 2023, at 0800 LT, M.V. HUA RUI LONG embarked on its journey to its next destination, Prince Rupert, Canada. This accomplishment is a testament to the efficiency and precision of maritime operations, where collaboration between multiple parties ensures the safe and timely transport of valuable cargo across international waters.
